Following changes in the Government’s guidelines on isolation following close contact, and further British Gymnastics guidance, we have reviewed our Covid risk assessment again. We continue to strive to keep gymnasts and staff safe whilst moving to a more “normal situation”.

We have decided to stop taking temperatures on arrival but will continue to hand-sanitise on entering and leaving the building.

Coaches will begin to support gymnasts (as and when necessary) to safely learn new skills and when they do this they will hand sanitise and be wearing a mask. Some skills are difficult to teach without coach support and after seventeen months, we feel this is the time to slowly re-introduce coach support.

The car park, drop-off and collect from the front door system we are currently operating, appears to be working well at the moment. We have made changes to the timetable of classes and this has reduced the congestion in the car park.

The viewing gallery will remain closed at the moment, but as you would expect, we will continue to review the risks and plan to re-open as soon as we feel able.  As you appreciate the viewing area is small and can be congested with large numbers of parents, siblings and gymnasts, and we feel this increases the spread of covid to gymnasts and our staff.

It is still important not to bring gymnasts to a class who are ill or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive until they have had a negative PCR test.

Our coaches continue to take regular lateral flow tests and with increased cleaning, we aim to reduce the risk of transmission.

We wish to thank all our customers for their assistance in reducing the transmission of Covid and thus allowing us to have coaches available to keep classes running smoothly.

Kind Regards
Alex Webster (Interim Director of Gymnastics for All) & Dave Murray (Director of Performance)
