We are delighted let you know that we have opened our bookings for all of our school holidays camps for the duration of 2023. You can now sort your holiday arrangements up to October half term this year! See below all of the amazing opportunities we have in the holidays....

*Full Day Camps*
If you are looking for 3 day wrap around child care, our Full Day Camps at our Hub venue are for you. Running on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday's gymnasts will have the chance to develop and progress their fundamental gymnastics skills further by creating routines and sequences with their friends. Lunch is not provided, but we do offer early drop-ff and late pick-up for a fee.

*Half Day Camps*
Taking place at our Seacroft site, our half day camps offer the widest variety of gymnastics disciplines and activities. The sessions are 10am - 1pm and gymnasts will have a short snack break (no need for lunch!)

*Family Fun Sessions*
Come and bring your parents, sisters and brothers to an open play session. A short session offering the whole family a chance to explore our equipment and enjoy time together.

*Additional Needs Holiday Sessions*
An unstructured play session for children with additional needs. Parents can bring their child (and their siblings) to a session where their child's physical and emotional needs are understood.

We also have member only offers that will be emailed to all of our gymnasts over the coming week. Make sure not to miss out on the fun and book now!

Our final look back into 2022 is the installation of our brand new sprung floor. Our gymnasts at our Seacroft venue have already been benefitting from our latest equipment purchase, but we are delighted that our Hub gymnasts are also going to be starting the New Year with a sprung floor as well! We installed yet more equipment at John Smeaton Leisure Centre and now all of our gymnasts across both venues can benefit from a full competition floor!

We can’t wait to have all of our gymnasts back to our Hub venue tomorrow!

As well as wishing Happy New Year to all of our members and their families, day ten of our countdown looks towards 2023. We have some brand new changes to our Gymnastics for All programme starting in 2023, including new class names and pathways that will contribute to a more open and progressive route through our classes. This is in addition to a new way of assessing and awarding our gymnasts, which will see us fully integrate the British Gymnastics RISE programme.

We can’t wait to get started, and it all starts with our first classes of the New Year tomorrow!

Day nine of our 2023 countdown revisits our Gymnastics for All competition in May, where all of our beginner and intermediate gymnasts had the opportunity to compete. We absolutely love seeing so many gymnasts across so many different age groups enjoying their chance to shine, every single one of you were super stars 🌟

We can't wait to relive this event again in 2023, see you there!

Day eight of our 12 days of LGC looks back at our incredibly successful year of competitions for our Acro Squad. There has been a lot of change for our Acro section over the past year, but we are so proud of the commitment and hard work of all of our gymnasts and their partnerships. 2022 was a great year, but our Acro section are already back in the gym working towards their next competition in Scotland at the end of January!

P.S. We know we have missed a few of our 12 days as we've given ourselves chance to rest, so we will be posting multiple posts over a few days. Just enough time to fit everything in before 2023 begins!

Day seven of our 12 days of LGC looks back at a year of incredible work with Schools across Leeds. We are so proud of all the work we have done and we finished off the year with 4 weeks of schools festivals. This gave over 200 children the opportunity to try out gymnastics for the very first time.

Thank you so much to Well Schools and Active Schools for their collaborative work with us over the past year!

Day six of our Christmas Countdown looks back at the last year of incredible Hub Shows. Our Summer Show, “Shine”, allowed our gymnasts to show off their skills and express themselves. Our Winter Show, “9 to 5”, told the story of the working life and the joy it can bring!

We’ve had more gymnasts involved in our Hub Shows this year than ever before, making them our biggest and most successful shows yet 🎉

Day five of 12 days of LGC looks back on another year of international representations. This year saw some of our men’s and women’s gymnasts represent England, Wales and Great Britain on multiple occasions, and we couldn’t be prouder! We also had our Display Team representing Great Britain once again at EuroGym in Switzerland, yet another international representation for them.

Day three of our 12 days of Leeds Gymnastics reflects on yet another year of hosting the Men’s Artistic Yorkshire Set Work Championships back in September. We host this event every year, and our boys always come away with outstanding results.

These amazing results were reflected in the amount of boys who qualified to represent Yorkshire at the National Championships just last weekend! 🏆

Day one of our 12 days of Leeds Gymnastics Club celebrates our Senior Display Team who won the Variety & Technique Award at this years Ministrada Festival. This award is given to the team with highest quality and the most variety of gymnastics and dance, something that we pride ourselves on here at Leeds. Well done to everyone involved, and to top it off, a lovely comment from the event organisers, “very well deserved” 🏆

This year saw both of our Display Teams perform at national and international events, with our senior team winning a silver medal at the European Gym for Life Challenge in Switzerland 🥈 Next year brings yet another World Gymnaestrada in Amsterdam, and preparations have already started...
