Leeds Gymnastics are proud to announce that we have secured a permanent second venue at John Smeaton Leisure Centre. This is a really exciting opportunity for the club to both expand and develop our current programmes.

The new satellite venue is called The Hub and will provide gymnastics-based classes with a stronger focus on team experience and developing the required skills to do the performance-based disciplines of gymnastics such as Display Gymnastics, Team Gym & Acrobatics.

Classes will run at The Hub on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. We are also offering Parties throughout the day on Sundays. Please see below the classes we offer.

BEGINNERS

Hub Skills
Our Hub Skills classes are for complete beginners. We introduce the foundations of gymnastics to those who are new to the sport. These classes are also an opportunity for our existing members to do more than one gymnastics class per week. We absolutely look forward to meeting brand new gymnasts who’d love to get involved with gymnastics at Leeds Gymnastics Club’s Hub. Children attending these classes will have frequent performance opportunities at Hub shows

Minis – Reception-Year 2
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 4-5pm

Inters – Year 3-Year 7
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 5-6.30pm

Juniors – Year 6+
Monday 6.30-8pm

NO PRIOR GYMNASTICS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. BOOK ONTO CLASSES BELOW.

ADDITIONAL NEEDS

Our Additional Needs classes are for children who require more support in order to be able to take part in a gymnastics class. We encourage parent involvement and these sessions are designed for children to socialise with others, explore fundamental movement and have fun.

Advanced Gymnastics classes

Hub Tumbling
Our Tumble skills classes focus on developing the individual floor skills that form the basis of tumbling, such as flicks and handsprings. This class is for new and existing club members in Year 3 and above. These gymnasts will also have the opportunity to take part in events such as Gymfest and Hub shows.

Inters – Monday 4.30-6pm
Juniors – Wednesday 6.30-8pm

Hub Acro
Acro skills classes develop the individual and group skills that form the basis of the gymnastics discipline of Acrobatics. This class is for new and existing club members in Year 3 and above. These gymnasts will also have the opportunity to take part in events such as Gymfest and Hub shows.

Wednesday 4.30-6pm
Friday 5-6.30pm

Hub Team Gym
Team Gym combines work in 4 areas: floor,
vault, trampette and tumbling. Gymnasts will focus on developing team routines but also improve individual skills such as front somersaults and back flicks. Gymnasts will have frequent performance opportunities at Hub shows and at least 1 competition per year.

Inters – Friday 4.30-6.30pm
Juniors – Friday 6.30-8.30pm

Squad Gymnastics at Leeds Gymnastics Hub

Display Squads
Display is a discipline that focuses on floor-based gymnastics. It includes acrobatics, tumbling and dance, which combine to form a group routine to music. Our Display squad gymnasts perform regionally, nationally and internationally, training 1-2 times per week. These squads are expected to perform at Hub events to showcase our disciplines.

Acro Squads
Primarily performed in pairs, trios and groups, Acrobatics is a gymnastics discipline that focuses on floor-based gymnastics. Our Acrobatics squad compete regionally and nationally, training 2-4 times per week. These squads are expected to perform at Hub events to showcase our disciplines.
