BIO

Whether you’re interested in improving your physical ability (e.g. strength, flexibility, power), developing gymnastics or freestyle-specific skills (e.g. rolls, cartwheels & somersaults), or boosting your overall health & wellbeing, then gymnastics is the sport for you – regardless of your age, ability or experience.

About me
Over the years I have gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience in the sport of gymnastics. I began gymnastics at the age of 5 and went on to compete at an elite level for over 10 years. Towards the end of my gymnastics career I completed my undergraduate and Masters degrees; where I developed a sound understanding of the science underpinning sport, exercise and health (e.g. physiology, biomechanics, psychology & nutrition).

Whilst at university I began to coach part-time; working with other students and in local primary schools. Following my studies, I chose to pursue a career a career in gymnastics coaching and took up a full-time role at Leeds Gymnastics Club; working with gymnasts of all ages and abilities from pre-school through to elite squads and adults. These experiences have provided me with a good understanding of the development of gymnastics skills, a good sport-specific scientific understanding, and an ability to work with and engage people of all ages and abilities.

I aim to use my knowledge and experience to help you achieve your goals by creating a programme specific to your needs; delivered in a fun, positive and challenging environment.
