TAMSIN CHADWICK

I have a lot of experience in choreography for floor routines, group displays and theatrical/show displays. This is one of my passions in gymnastics. It stems from my own experience, and will always be the most exciting part for me.

BIO

I started gymnastics at the age of 4, and since then I have always eaten, slept and breathed gymnastics. As a gymnast I competed nationally until I retired at the age of 18 to go to Leeds Metropolitan University. My degree enabled me to develop my coaching pedagogy to facilitate athletes of different ages and abilities.

As a retired gymnast, I competed at the BUCS and British Adults competitions for 3 years, and am therefore very experienced in routine construction. As well as competing, I am also very experienced in coaching gymnasts aged 18+; as Head of University Coaching at Leeds Gymnastics Club I understand the needs and desires of mature gymnasts.

Another role I have at the club is as a Women’s Artistic squad coach. My gymnasts and I work on advanced skills on all apparatus for competitions. I have also worked with a few gymnasts with disabilities and I look forward to doing more in the future.
